Mechanicsburg, PA - August, 2007 -- Universal Protective Packaging
is expanding their manufacturing facilities with a brand new 1200 square
foot cleanroom. The facility is certified to the ISO standard 14644
for a class 100,000 cleanroom. Rod Rumburger, president of UPPI, commented,
"With our new cleanroom, Universal Protective Packaging Inc. can further
meet our customers' needs for a controlled manufacturing setting. It
is ideal for complex medical device packaging, requiring a certified
cleanroom environment. "
The innovative cleanroom houses a state-of-the-art thermoformer capable
of running custom designed thermoformed parts of complex geometry for
the medical device marketplace. Materials capable of running on the
thermoformer include but are not limited to: PET, PETG, ESDPET, PVC,
ASPVC, HDPE, and Polypropylene.
UPPI utilizes highly trained, dedicated mechanics and technicians to
operate the thermoform machinery and produce parts that exceed performance
and quality standards.
Founded in 1983, Universal Protective Packaging Inc. is headquartered
in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania with an additional manufacturing facility
in Sparks, Nevada as well as a partnership with ANL Plastics located
in Europe. UPPI develops, engineers, and manufactures custom, thermoformed
trays and clamshell packages for a wide variety of medical applications.
